One of the most famous districts in Paris is the 7th arrondissement. This is likely because it houses Paris' most famous landmark: The Eiffel Tower. Some areas are very touristy, but we also found some great more relaxed areas in this district.
Eiffel Tower: Architectural Object
When in Paris, it is critical to see the Eiffel Tower both by day and night. I took this picture on my first trip to Paris two winters ago, on cold, calm night. Every evening starting at 8, every hour on the hour, the tower sparkles for a few minutes, so be sure to look out for it!
L'art en fleurs: Commercial Business
We found this cute flower shop, along with many other fleuristes, strolling along small streets.
We also found another Angelina! This one might not have as long of a wait!
This ice cream shop was especially appealing.
It is hard not to buy flowers and potted plants at every shop I see!
Many of the stores in this district are luxury brands, so we did a lot of window shopping. Here is Louboutin!
We found a small garden growing in the middle of the street! How sweet!
Here is another floral shop: Rosa Luna. This one had a lot of outdoor plants.
There are gorgeous doors on almost every street!
Le Bon Marché: Interesting Site
This is Le Bon Marché, one of the first department stores in the world. Now it is owned by LVMH, a french group that owns a number of luxury brands including Louis Vuitton.
Musée Rodin: Tourist Attraction
Our next stop was my favorite museum I've been to in Paris: the Rodin Museum.
Rodin donated all his works while living, on the condition that they turn the location into a museum in his honor. The museum also includes Rodin's personal collection of paintings, including works by Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh.
The Thinker
The Kiss
Hotel de Nevers Saint Germain: Two Star Hotel
We found Hotel de Nevers Saint Germain, a two star hotel in an area filled with cute shops and boulangeries. Double rooms start at 119 per night.
