6th Arrondissement: Lock Bridge and Luxembourg Garden

The 6th Arrondissement has quickly become one of our favorites. We've frequently visited it since our first days here. One of the most frequented tourist attractions of the 6th arrondissement is its lock bridge.
The Lock Bridge: Tourist Attraction

It is a common location for tourists to place a lock as a declaration of love or friendship. If that is in your plan, make sure to bring your own lock! Street vendors sell them on the bridge, but you'll be charged an arm and a leg. This is a common location for wedding photos. One of our first weeks here, there was some commotion when a small part of the grid collapsed and the bridge had to be evacuated and closed for repairs. All in all, no one was hurt and the bridge was open again in a day or so!

Luxembourg Garden: Architectural Object

One of my favorite things about Paris is its parks and gardens. Luxembourg garden is beautiful, and always filled with locals meeting friends and reading. If you're going to be in Paris, I would highly recommend a picnic here!
On the last day we visited Luxembourg, the sky was especially stunning.
Ladurée: Interesting Site

Above you can see a window display for the Ladurée in this district. Ladurée is one of the most recognized french restaurants for pastries, especially macaroons. Though macaroons at Ladurée are much more expensive than you can get anywhere else, I would definitely recommend indulging in a few. They are delicious, and the gift boxes they come in are beautiful. This location of Ladurée is not as large as the others and generally not as busy. If you are just looking to stop and grab some macaroons or a bite to eat, it can be more convenient than the larger and more popular Ladurée locations.

On this visit to Ladurée, I skipped the macaroons and ordered a milkshake and pomme frites. Though very pricey, I was highly satisfied.
Fajitas: Commercial Business

One of our favorite places in the district is our favorite mexican restaurant here: Fajitas! While a common food choice in the US due to proximity, decent Mexican food is difficult to come by in Europe, but one thing we can't live without. Fajitas offers fresh, authentic Mexican food perfect for Taco Tuesday!

Villa des Princes: Two Star Hotel

The two star hotel for this district is Villa des Princes. Here you can get a double room for 139 Euro a night. I would recommend this hotel just based off location. Just a short walk from the Odéon metro stop, it is easy to get all over Paris from this location. Besides that, the neighborhood is friendly and convenient, with plenty to see and do.
